Creating this blog, and having a creative outlet has been something that I've absolutely loved. I'm thrilled that my blog has been successful over these last 6 months, and I'm so excited to see how it continues to grow! I have some exciting plans for its future, and I can't wait to share them with you through out the next 6 months. As for right now, I'm happy to take whatever help I can get in sharing it with the world.
I've recently participated in a loop giveaway on Instagram, and connected with several other amazing bloggers who I'm excited to work with again in the future. I have plans of doing several more giveaways in the upcoming weeks, but I'd love your feedback about the process, what you liked/didn't like, and what products you would love to see next time! A while back I help put together a Style Piece for the MU Journal, and yesterday I was featured in the Marquette Newspaper. The article was written by a talented writer, James Price, and featured my blog and the work I've been doing on it recently. I have to admit, I got a bit overly excited, carrying the newspaper around with me all day and making sure to show anyone willing to look. I originally started my blog as a way to keep my friends and family across the country updated on what life was like here in MKE. I didn't expect to love it as much as I do now, nor did I expect it to reach the number of people it has. I have always been passionate about both fashion and interior design, so they are a huge part of my blog. Yet writing is something that I have loved for so long, that it is fun for me to tell stories in my lifestyle and love posts. One question James asked me was what I want people to get from my blog, but it's not that simple for me. I want people to take what's best for them from my blog. I'm just using it as a creative platform to tell my story, but it could mean a number of different things to different people. Several people have told me they refer to my Fashion page regularly for inspiration on what to wear. Others have said that they use my Love page for advice in their own relationships and friendships. My family loves to read the Lifestyle page as a way to keep up with the big events in my life. It really means something different to everyone, and that's what I love most about it. I'm not doing this for one primary purpose of wanting someone to get something from it; Instead, I'm putting it all out there for people to read, love, and take what they need. Good work, Erin! So happy to see the exposure you're getting for your blog. Being upbeat, positive, funny, spiritual, loving, and inspirational (as well as pretty) is the key to popularity! Proud of you!
